As a small business, we value our reputation. As most of our work is generated through recommendation, we take time to ensure every job is done as efficiently as possible, testing every connection and tidying up after ourselves before we leave. It's our great work ethos that has been the key to our success so far. Taking time to plan out jobs from the start means we're efficient too. We assess every new quote thoroughly so we can properly plan the correct amount of time needed to complete the work, and order any supplies, cabling or connections in advance to ensure once we're there, we're there til it's done!

ADAM MILLER

I have been working in the industry for 18 years and a co-director of AMK for the past 6 years. I started off studying IT at Barnfield College, and went on to work for a network installation company. This then led to me obtaining my electrical qualifications, and pursue a passion for working within the bar and nightclub industry, providing electrical maintenance and support.

In 2010 Matthew and I decided to start our own company, AMK, which has built a successful reputation in Nottingham and the East Midlands.

I feel that AMK has a diverse range of expertise because both mine and Mathew’s strengths lie is slightly different areas. Meaning that we work well as a Team, or individually. I feel that my expertise lie within IT installations and commercial businesses, such as bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

MATT KING

My experience in the industry began 15 years ago, where I started out as an apprentice. I studied at Basford Hall College where I earned my qualifications and became a trained Electrician.

After working within several different companies, I decided to branch out, with Adam, and form our own business. This was the birth of AMK. This has not only enabled us to develop and merge our skill set but has also given me stronger management skills.

I have gained experience working in different areas of electrical installation; domestic housing, schools and airports, and feel that my area of expertise now lies within domestic, commercial and industrial.
